How to Measure Your Child for the Perfect Fit
Getting the right size is key — uniforms that are too small restrict movement, and ones that are too large look untidy and wear out faster. Here are the key measurements to take before you shop:
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, about an inch above the belly button.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the ankle along the inside of the leg.
- Height & Weight: These are often used for general size charts, especially for younger children.
Pro tip: Kids grow fast — especially over the summer! Measure your child right before you shop, even if you measured them a few months ago. For growing kids, consider sizing up one size for shirts and pants to get more wear out of each piece.

Back-to-School Shopping Tips
- Shop early. July and early August are our busiest weeks. Beat the rush and avoid out-of-stock situations by shopping in late June or early July.
- Buy multiples. Most families find that 3–5 sets of uniforms per child is the sweet spot — enough to get through the week without daily laundry.
- Label everything. Iron-on or sewn-in name labels save a lot of headaches when items get mixed up at school.
- Check the dress code annually. IDEA may update uniform policies each school year, so always confirm requirements before shopping.
